Unique tailor-made solution
It started with the question of how we could serve customers even better, in addition to the existing transport and logistics solutions.
Schavemaker started as a transport company but has since grown into a professional logistics service provider with offices in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Bulgaria. Our strategy pays a lot of attention to sustainability. Examples include its own rail terminal in Poland, with its own train connection between the terminal in Wroclaw in Poland and Moerdijk. In addition, Schavemaker has its own inland shipping terminal in Beverwijk.
As an extension of all existing activities, we see opportunities to expand contract logistics activities with a focus on warehousing and cross docking, among other things. Some of the existing solutions we offer are contract logistics, E-commerce, E-fulfillment, FBA (Amazon), Action and return logistics. In order to market these activities more clearly, it was decided to set up Schavemaker Logistics Solutions BV and to look for a suitable warehouse location with intermodal connections. This was found in Moerdijk, where we can make the link with our own rail connection that already exists and the further connections to England and the rest of Europe.
