Schavemaker Logistics is an experienced service provider that offers a wide range of steel-related logistics services. We offer storage and transshipment services for coils up to 35 tonnes in our warehouses in Beverwijk Velsen and Breda. We perform inbound logistics, stock management and outbound logistics as a minimum for our clients, and also offer additional services such as cutting to size, tilting, quality testing, burning and labelling.

One of our specialities involves stuffing (loading) and stripping (unloading) sea containers. Thanks to our favourable location on the Zuiderkade in Beverwijk, we are able to take containers to and from Rotterdam by barge. Our experienced team has been loading seaworthy containers since 1995. Our team currently processes 5000 containers each year.

Besides warehouses equipped with 35-tonne overhead cranes, we also have a forklift fleet of 20 units, ranging from 2 tonnes to 42 tonnes in lifting capacity.

Rail terminal

Schavemaker utilises the rail terminal in Kąty Wrocławskie, 10 km from the major city of Wrocław in Poland.

A two-year renovation plus investments in a crane and reach stackers was completed in September 2015, creating a state of the art terminal; the most modern inland terminal in Poland. This allowed us to process more trains and ensured plenty of opportunity for growth in numbers and destinations.

Wrocław, Poland’s fourth but fastest-growing city, is located in the southwest of Poland in a highly strategic location; close to the Czech Republic (40 km from the border), 300 km from Prague and on the route to Slovakia. A number of crucial European transport routes converge here, such as the Paris, Munich and Madrid to Warsaw or Moscow lines. Wrocław is the fastest-growing region in Poland and boasts several production companies and distribution centres.

There are currently connections to Moerdijk, Gdańsk, London and Hamburg and we are part of the European Hupac network.
