HISTORY

Schavemaker has been transporting your goods from A to B since 1967 and offers a wide range of logistics services. We started as a small family business, but have now developed into a modern European logistics service provider with long-standing experience. This page contains a few highlights from our history.

    SCHAVEMAKER OPENS DOORS

Henk Schavemaker uses a second-hand Volvo 385 to start his transport company in his home town of Assendelft, and mainly transports wood and steel. Schavemaker Transport is born.

    RELOCATION TO BEVERWIJK

Because the company now has around 20 trucks, the site in Assendelft is too small and it decides to move to its current head office at the Lijndenweg in Beverwijk. Beverwijk is the first choice because ‘Hoogovens’ (now TATA) has become the largest client and this move makes it possible to offer a faster service.
