Schavemaker starts second rail terminal in Poland

Schavemaker Group is proud to announce that it has acquired ownership of 35 hectares in Mietkow with an existing rail track of 7 km in length for the development of the second rail terminal. This new investment offers promising opportunities for using low-emission and environmentally friendly rail transport combined with an ideal distribution location for Poland and the Czech Republic.

The new rail terminal in Mietkow will be located just 11 kilometers from the current rail terminal in Katy Wroclawskie. The current rail terminal provides Schavemaker with a railway connection between Wroclaw (Poland) and Moerdijk (Netherlands). By acquiring the second rail terminal, Schavemaker has just gained new opportunities to develop and expand railway freight services.

Schavemaker Group has commissioned the design of several projects on the acquired site, including the construction of a new container terminal, an intermodal semi-trailer reloading terminal, its own electrified railway station with multiple stabling tracks, warehouses of up to 100.000 m2, manufacturing warehouses with railway tracks inside and infrastructure related to railway transport services.

Schavemaker Group invites anyone who intends to intermodal rail transport into their operations to cooperate with us.
